Reason for Outage:

The outage was caused by a line card failure on the primary path provided by our DCI supplier for redundant links between NextDC P1 and NextDC P2.

Due to a previous issue in our own infrastructure (CHG-5355) that had not yet been fully resolved while awaiting an RMA unit, our redundant paths did not fail over as expected, nor did traffic route via local Transit as configured.

Resolution:

The RMA unit has now been installed and redundant paths have been reconfigured to address the issues encountered during the outage. This ensures routing will work as designed and expected going forward.

Recovering

The upstream has resolved the issue, and paths have been restored

Updated

Upstream provider has identified an issue with multiple paths at this location and have engaged with the vendor. Further updates will be provided when available

Investigating

Zettagrid Engineers have been alerted to network connectivity issues at NextDC P2.

Engineers are currently investigating the issue and will provide an update soon.
