This incident was resolved on 23 December 2022 - apologies the outage notice was left open.
Our investigations indicate that the voice-media from Microsoft looks to have corrupt or missing RTCP packets, which results in our SBCs assuming media had timed-out or is missing resulting in dropped calls.
We have applied a work-around to ignore 'dead-calls' or broken media, which has resulted in normal voice-call traffic. We'll continue to monitor the case whilst Microsoft works to resolve this.
Our ongoing investigation into earlier reports of issues impacting on Teams calls are so far pointing to a disruption within Microsoft Teams platform itself. We'll continue to investigate and provide updates as they become available.
