On 10-05-2025, at approximately 11:48 AWST, a network outage was observed affecting connectivity to some Ethernet/Fibre, Mobile Broadband, and a small number of NBN services in Sydney. After investigation, the root cause was identified as a hardware failure in one of the edge switching stacks.

The majority of services failed over correctly, while a small number had to be manually patched into alternate linecards.

The hardware vendor was contacted immediately, and an RMA request was initiated. A replacement unit has been arranged and will be installed upon arrival.
